I have undertaken this walk many times, but it never fails to delight me. The post-medieval buildings have an overarching style which is exciting and very pleasing on the eye.
Walking in a south-eastern direction down the Street, Costessey, we first come across no. 136 West End.
The Grade two listed house at 136 West End was built in the seventeenth century; It was refaced, broadened and elevated in the eighteenth century with brick and brick plinths and a gable end. It has been described as having gable end and pantile roof, with later sashes. There are 18th century upper windows with surviving metal casements, one is four light and one is three light.
